Completely renovated in 2021 by the interior designer Beatrice Recoing, this apartment combines authenticity thanks to its preserved materials with an elegant and comfortable renovation. The entrance leads directly to the vast living space with its fitted kitchen, with the assertive choice of its black facades and its cement tile floor, warmed by the wood of its splashback. The living / dining room space is delimited by a honey parquet floor and marked by the beautiful ceiling height of more than 3m underlined by the original beams of the galleys. The frontal view is framed on the Old Port. A storage chest has been judiciously thought out as a contemplative seat. Separated from the living room by a wood-framed bookcase that can be left open or hidden by curtain blinds, the bedroom takes up space on the second day. This wooden piece of furniture, in response to the midnight blue wall in the living room, brings a cozy atmosphere to the whole. A shower room in light tones is enhanced by a tile signed by the American artist Lawrence Weiner, a central figure in conceptual art.
