L’ESQUISSE

To renovate, the building is divided in two vertically and is made up of two dwellings linked together by an old wooden door; they could very easily be made completely independent. Old glass doors invite you from the entrance to enjoy the light of the living rooms. On the left, the monumental fireplace bears witness to memorable family outbreaks past and future. The floor is adorned with terracotta tiles and the circulation of light is fluid. The kitchen, although separate, participates visually through a large contemporary workshop glass roof. It also makes the link with the garden to the South. A bedroom and its period red brick fireplace as well as a bathroom occupy the garden level. Upstairs, two bedrooms share a bathroom and views of the garden. On the north side, a door leads to the second accommodation. There, a living room with mezzanine opens its bay windows to the West. The bathroom and the kitchen as well as a small cellar are at the back, and upstairs, a small bedroom extends onto a beautiful private terrace while a larger bedroom gives access to an attic. Outside, the old pond and its fountain have been transformed into a swimming pool. The garden is guarded by beautiful century-old trees which cool it in summer. A poolhouse patiently awaits a living room, a summer kitchen or even a guest bedroom.
