MODERNITÉ ARTISANALE I LUTECA
June – September 2026

Through the Tule and Oasis collections, this exhibition celebrates the art of weaving, one of the world’s oldest craft techniques. Inspired by natural fibers found in Mexico, France, and Portugal, these creations reveal the beauty of a craft passed down from generation to generation and reinterpreted today through contemporary forms, materials, and uses.
The small woven stool is a handmade tulle seat, the result of a complex process that requires perfect mastery of the technique. It is a unique piece, always crafted using the same method as that employed in pre-Columbian times, which creates a strong connection to the past.
True to the spirit of Luteca, the exhibition celebrates the dialogue between heritage and innovation. By combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary materials, such as its new resin-coated braided cord, the brand offers durable and refined pieces, an invitation to explore a world where the legacy of civilizations blends naturally with the landscapes and unique lifestyle of the Bassin.

Founded by Amanda and Sébastien, Luteca embodies the fusion of Mexican heritage and European innovation, where past and present blend in perfect harmony, and where Bauhaus design is influenced by Latin American architecture. By bringing together diverse cultural trends and historical influences, the brand’s goal is to create furniture with a unique Mexican soul, inspired by an international lifestyle.
Deeply rooted in the artisanal traditions that inspired the greatest Mexican designers of the 20th century, Luteca celebrates a holistic vision of Mexican craftsmanship in all its richness, complexity, and splendor, without reducing it to simplistic folkloric stereotypes.

An invitation to contemplate the beauty of craftsmanship, where artisanal skills, design, and the spirit of the Bassin come together naturally.
