OUD

Architectes & Décorateurs

Based between Paris and the Bassin d’Arcachon, OUD is a multidisciplinary architecture, interior design and decoration studio. Complementary in their approach, Marie-Sarah Burckel and Josselin Berteloot share a common background in Venice and a taste for investing in existing spaces: infusing the contemporary while preserving the history of a place. Winners of the Grand Prix d’architecture de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts in 2016, Prix André́ Arfvidson, they founded studio OUD in 2019.

A combination of wood, perfume essence and musical instrument, OUD embodies the idea that matter produces emotion. In reverse, it also represents the DUO of architects. Following in the footsteps of 20th-century Italian masters such as Carlo Scarpa and Gio Ponti, Marie-Sarah Burckel and Josselin Berteloot design living spaces in their entirety, right down to the furniture.

With a stylist mother and an art dealer father, Félix has been immersed in a creative environment since childhood. He first studied law before following his passion for design at Strate Collège. Inspired by an exceptional architecture teacher, he continued his training at the Académie Charpentier and graduated from the Camondo school.

He began his career as a freelancer, working notably for Schwitzke France, where he acquired rigor and expertise in managing luxury projects. In 2015, he set up his own studio, combining his eye for detail, his interest in historic architecture and his fascination with materials.

Fanny TEULIÈRES

Interior Designer

After training at the École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur, Fanny joined Chanel in 2008, where she spent 12 years working in public relations and communications. Working closely with the House’s architects and designers on point-of-sale concepts, she gradually developed a passion for interior architecture.

In 2020, she decided to train at the École Boulle in space design, and seized the opportunity to join Zoé de Las Cases’ studio team. Zoé de Las Cases’ sharp, poetic universe represents for her a perfect balance and an inexhaustible source of inspiration. At the same time, she chose to leave Paris and settle near the Arcachon basin, a region that had been close to her heart since childhood. Since then, she has worked as a freelancer, assisting private clients with their renovation projects.

Fanny draws her inspiration from the cozy atmosphere of hotels, as well as from the authenticity, color and festive ambience of the cabanes of Cap Ferret or the paillottes in Corsica, where she has spent her summers all her life.

She combines raw materials such as wood and concrete with the finesse and refinement of porcelain, quartz and enamel. Her approach is above all functional, guided by the daily lives of the inhabitants of the spaces she designs. She favors clean lines, reflecting on the meaning of each element. She then adapts these spaces to the personalities and tastes of her customers, seeking to offer them interiors that reflect their personalities.

Fanny is delighted to join ARCHIK’s Arcachon-based team, finding in this fusion of professions an integrated and coherent approach paving the way for creative and functional solutions.

Originally destined for a career in science, it was on his return from a humanitarian mission in Chile that Cédric discovered real estate and trained in Aix-en-Provence, not far from the famous vineyards where he grew up. He began his real estate career in Paris, where he developed his taste for architecture and photography. He was fascinated by the works of Richard Neutra, Oscar Niemeyer and Julius Shulman.

In love with the Bassin d’Arcachon and the South-West of France, where he has spent his vacations since childhood, he decided to move there with his family in 2006 and develop the Parisian real estate business he started out in.

A real professional challenge at a time when digital technology is gradually taking hold, he began with Bordeaux, followed by Arcachon, Biarritz, La Rochelle and Royan.

Sensitive to the specific architectural features of this region, he surrounded himself with a team of enthusiasts who, like him, would strive to find out-of-the-ordinary places for a clientele in search of a certain art de vivre.

His meeting with Amandine and Sébastien, the founders of ARCHIK, highlighted their shared values of a certain aestheticism and a common vision of the real estate world. The decision to establish the brand in this region with its rich architectural heritage was an obvious one.

It is with great enthusiasm that Cédric and his team join ARCHIK to offer their customers the services of this agency, where the art of living is paramount.

Sarah DENAVES

Holiday rental manager & Sales assistant

Originally from Brittany, where she spent her childhood, Sarah moved to the Bassin d’Arcachon with her family when she was a teenager. After studying literature, she joined her husband in Paris, where she stayed for 4 years. These years enabled her to familiarize herself with the world of commerce, in particular the ready-to-wear sector, working with renowned brands such as Maje, Sandro and Isabelle Marant.

On her return, as a mother of two, and with the benefit of her Parisian experience, she managed a boutique in the center of Arcachon, then worked in a delicatessen. It was here that she honed her interpersonal skills and sense of service, which would prove indispensable to her future career.

In love with the Bassin and its unspoiled nature, she is also sensitive to the eclectic architecture she finds there. Wooden buildings, revisited oyster-farmers’ huts and the famous Bartherotte houses are all places that inspired her to design her home.

Having contributed to the development of a seasonal rental business, she naturally and enthusiastically joins the ARCHIK team in Arcachon to contribute her experience through a rigorous selection of unique properties.

Originally from the Paris region, Claire was immersed in the world of construction and architecture from an early age, thanks to her father who ran a company specializing in industrial buildings.

Passionate about sport and dance, she entered the STAPS faculty and opted to teach in a priority education zone and in a prison.

After this experience and the birth of her first daughter, she decided to indulge a forgotten passion: photography. She spent several years perfecting her style, making dance and portrait photography her specialties.

In 2014, following her husband’s transfer, she moved to Le Moulleau, where she renovated a 1960s house just a stone’s throw from the beach.

At the same time, she continued to photograph major dance events.

Her taste for beautiful buildings, which she began to photograph, found a resounding echo on the Bassin. In the course of her new encounters, she seized the opportunity to join a real estate agency unlike any other, where she showcased her commercial qualities while adding her photographic skills.

The renovation of a vacation home on the Basque Coast, where she loves to escape with her family, continues to sharpen her taste for design and beautiful things. Joining ARCHIK was an obvious choice and a great challenge for this enthusiast, who saw the value of establishing this brand in her own beautiful playground.

Franco-British, Alexander lived in London until he was 28, where he worked in the automotive industry for ten years, within prestigious British brands. This career path enabled him to develop skills in sales, management and administration, culminating in the management of several dealerships.

In 2009, accompanied by his wife Claire, he decided to change his life in search of a new adventure, eager to discover his French roots.

They opened a guest house on the shores of Lake Biscarrosse, in a wild and unspoilt setting, met some wonderful people and, after the birth of their two children, decided to settle on the Bay of Arcachon, making this experience an enchanted interlude.

Alex, who has been interested in architecture and design since childhood, took an interest in real estate and acquired several properties, which he renovated and rented out on a seasonal basis. In this way, he honed his ability to project himself into a place and transform it to give it a second life.

As a natural extension of this activity, he decided to join the team, where he put his negotiating skills to good use. And it’s with great enthusiasm that he now accompanies ARCHIK customers.

Claire grew up in the prestigious Wimbledon district, just a stone’s throw from the All-England Club, and from an early age was involved in the world of design, architecture and decoration.

After studying literature in Bristol, she began her professional career in an interior design boutique (Osborne & Litttle). After a stint in a design agency, she worked alongside James Dyson, founder of the eponymous company, and his wife Deidre, assisting in the launch and design of some of their now iconic products in the greatest secrecy. At the same time, she will be exhibiting with Swarovski at Maison&Objet.

On the strength of these rich experiences, she and her husband Alexender decided to try a new adventure by opening a guest house in France on the banks of a Landes lake. For this assertive city dweller, it was a new challenge that offered her a wonderful experience during which she gave birth to her two boys.

When she decided to settle on the Bassin d’Arcachon, she brought all her experience and her taste for beautiful things to the renovation of several houses alongside Alex, and it was with him that she joined the ARCHIK team and put her sharp sense of listening at her customers’ disposal.

It’s only a short step from Paris, where Xavier grew up, to Arcachon! Made in 2006 to follow his wife, originally from the South-West of France. What a wonderful encounter with the Bassin, a world apart where life is different: van life, ocean, surfing and sailing with the family. This was followed by a creative encounter, photography, and a heritage adventure with the purchase and renovation of a listed Gujan house dating from 1887.

His career path, punctuated by a series of encounters, enabled Xavier to explore the field of interior design and decoration. First in the commercial sector, then in the hotel industry, before devoting himself to the home by following the MMI Déco training program.

Over the years, Xavier has nurtured his eye, his sense of aesthetics and detail. His taste for made-to-measure craftsmanship “à la française”, the art of the object.
With ARCHIK advocating the Art of Living, the next logical step for him was to meet Cédric, manager of the Arcachon branch. Xavier will accompany you in your projects on the Bassin, which he has adopted and cherishes!

After more than twenty years developing high-end interior design brands around the world, and enriched by his travels from Bali to New York via Europe, it’s his passion for architecture that Jean wishes to put to good use today.

Perhaps it was building tree houses in his youth in the Rhône-Alpes region of France, or decorating the superb interiors of Lyon, that nurtured his passion for construction, design and the art of living. And it was no doubt after settling on the Bassin d’Arcachon ten years ago that he decided to specialize in this sector.

A dynamic perfectionist, Jean pays particular attention to every detail of an interior. He particularly admires Philippe Starck, who has worked extensively on the Bassin, as well as the Bartherotte buildings and the works of Jean Nouvel.

Following his enriching meeting with Cédric Fourteau, director of the Arcachon agency, his initial desire became a certainty: to establish the link between his customers’ dreams and reality becomes his leitmotiv! And ARCHIK is the perfect setting for him to do so.

Sébastien RAMBEAUD

Negotiator

Originally from Gironde, Sébastien grew up between Saint-Émilion and the Bassin d’Arcachon. After studying Japanese at Bordeaux University, he moved to Osaka for a year, where he put his passion for wine to good use by working for a wine merchant friend. Coming from a family of winegrowers, the link was made: Bordeaux wines were being exported all over the world, and he wanted to travel. On the strength of this first experience in Japan, he returned a few years later, this time to live there, where he settled for eight years.

Guided by encounters and opportunities, he travelled to some forty countries, discovering emblematic places. His travels were punctuated by the great museums and modern architecture he loved: Tate Modern, MoMA, Guggenheim, MAM and Pompidou, but also all the classics: Prado, Rijksmuseum, Orsay… And if he had to choose just one, it would be the Benesse Museum and all the sites on Japan’s Naoshima and Teshima islands.

An unconditional fan of Tadao Ando and the Bauhaus, which he discovered on a visit to the museum in Berlin, he travelled to Tel Aviv just to see their work. From architecture to painting and photography, art in the broadest sense of the term interests this inquisitive mind.

This aesthete of a thousand lives decided to return to France when his son was born, and settled in Arcachon, where he has lived since 2022. His interest in the basin’s specific architectural heritage naturally led him to ARCHIK, where he joins the team as a negotiator and assists you with your projects.

Amanda ROY LOQUAY

Negotiator

Amanda grew up on the west coast of Scotland, where the play of light on the sea enlivened her childhood. From an early age, she was interested in the relationship between nature and architecture, inspired in particular by the Arts and Crafts movement, which was very much alive in her native country. Passionate about details and the relationship between people and places, she chose to study at the Edinburgh School of Architecture, developing her taste for architecture that focuses on use and is meticulous in every detail.

After graduating, she moved to Lille and then Melbourne, where her career oscillated between architecture, design and scenography. During her travels, she discovers cities through their unique architecture, and enjoys rummaging through real estate ads to better understand the way its inhabitants live.

On her return from Australia, she settled in Bordeaux, in love with this UNESCO World Heritage city, with its beautiful blond facades along the Garonne, its many squares and the diversity of its neighborhoods. It was here that she returned to the architectural profession, first as a project manager in an agency for over 10 years.
With her passion for real estate still strong, she spends her free time looking for properties for her family and friends. This is how she discovered ARCHIK. Seduced by the hybrid concept combining three of her passions: architecture, design and real estate, she decided to join the adventure and participate in its development in the South-West. She pays close attention to the quality of communication, and is always keen to provide people with the best possible support in their life projects, using her understanding of space and her sense of aesthetics to quickly grasp the qualities of properties and their potential. The art of living in a place, a space chosen and shaped to your own image.
