Design duo Sabourin Costes and ARCHIK have come up with an exclusive piece symbolizing the Art of Living. A piece like a hyphen between design and architecture, echoing their graphic language and identity: a 100% wool rug, with rounded, irregular “boudins”, handmade in France by Ateliers Pinton, using wool from New Zealand.

Sabourin Costes
Sabourin Costes is a design studio founded by Zoé Costes and Paola Sabourin.
From their Paris studio, they compose and shape surprise. Combining a meticulous exploration of materials and their processing with formal and functional research, they create singular objects that catch the eye and celebrate the everyday.
Their materials of choice are simple yet refined: lacquered wood, polished stainless steel or transparent resin. They play with reflection and distortion to create unexpected, contemplative moments.
About the ZIGGY rug imagined with ARCHIK:
For this co-creation, Zoé Costes and Paola Sabourin wanted to design a piece symbolizing ARCHIK’s Art d’habiter. A link between design and architecture, an element that unites through its form and use within the same interior, while retranscribing their graphic language and identity. Thus was born the ZIGGY rug. A piece tufted and chiselled by Ateliers Pinton, with rounded, irregular “boudins” of extrapolated dimensions, in two natural shades – cream and burgundy – for a finish that inspires comfort. A strong piece, with precise curves, that creates a link between the various furniture elements in a room.
