GARLABAN

Renovated in 2019, designer Margaux Keller achieved a perfect balance: highlighting the spaces and their historical charm by combining them with contemporary materials, modern amenities, and a colorful, welcoming décor. The layout is logically designed: the royal blue entrance in the center immediately sets the tone. Facing east, the living areas benefit from abundant natural light and unobstructed views of Marseille. The generous proportions, high ceilings, moldings, and original classical features create a remarkable setting, enhanced by the harmonious color palette and light oak parquet flooring, which blend seamlessly with the contemporary furnishings and warm, colorful decor. A series of aluminum windows opens the spaces wide onto the city, offering an unobstructed view and exceptionally pleasant natural light. The open-plan living area combines the lounge and dining room, while the semi-open kitchen was custom-made by a cabinetmaker. Its solid wood fronts are complemented by a large worktop and Cassis stone. The functional marble fireplaces, a striking feature, flank each other and facilitate a fluid, circular flow, leading to a second sitting area with a custom-built, built-in library. Three west-facing bedrooms comprise the sleeping quarters.
