A remarkable architectural landmark listed as a 20th-century heritage site, the Canebière Building, constructed in 1952, is a collaborative work by architects René Egger, Fernand Pouillon, and Jean-Louis Sourdeau. With its architecture characterized by curved lines and rounded shapes, the building features a 58 m2 apartment on the 6th floor (accessible by elevator) in the heart of the Belsunce neighborhood.

Recently renovated, the apartment has been restored to its original layout as a spacious studio, while preserving the architectural elements that define its character. These architectural features serve as a backdrop, with axes and guiding lines softened by the gentle curves of the columns, infusing the spaces with rhythm and dynamism. Many original features have been preserved: the solid oak parquet flooring with narrow planks, the 5 × 5 cm beige tiles in the kitchen, as well as the cabinets with beveled edges and the serving hatch, which creates a natural transition between the kitchen and the living area.
The entryway features sage green, a shade that extends to the kitchen cabinets, creating a sense of chromatic continuity. Separated from the living area, the kitchen retains its character while remaining open to the main space thanks to the serving hatch, which establishes a visual and functional connection between the two areas. The four windows with rounded lines open the room up to the outdoors. On the walls, a pinkish greige shade was chosen, as close as possible to the original color. The living room, dining area, and sleeping area are all situated within the same open space, each naturally finding its place within the interplay of lines. With its enveloping curves, the bathroom is adorned with an orange hue and white mosaic tiles. On the floor, speckled porcelain stoneware adds a mineral touch while extending the space's modernist spirit.

Remarkable architecture brought to life.
