A remarkable architecture classified as a 20th century heritage site, the Canebière Building, built in 1953, is the joint work of architects René Egger, Fernand Pouillon, and Jean-Louis Sourdeau. The building with its rhythmic and rounded architecture welcomes on its 9th and last floor with elevator a 72 m2 double apartment bathed in light and its 30 m2 of terraces with panoramic views, in the heart of the Belsunce district.

Completely renovated by architect Marion Giovannetti, the apartment offers a reinterpretation full of accuracy and delicacy in a constant dialogue between a soothing and sunny interior and magnificent views of the Marseille roofs and Notre-Dame de la Garde. Respecting the architecture of Fernand Pouillon, the soft lines and light tones enhanced with touches of black highlight the posts, the joinery and the preserved original parquet flooring. The entrance sets the tone with its Nubian ocher-colored wall which echoes the facade of the neighboring Hôtel de Noailles, and opens onto the living room bathed in light thanks to the series of black aluminum windows extended by a first terrace with breathtaking views. The full-height, sliding oak panels elegantly distinguish the living spaces and preserve the through light. To the north, the kitchen is decorated with matte black Fenix and concrete tiles used in the splashback. Adjoining, a second quiet terrace allows you to enjoy a lovely view of the Côte Bleue. On the night side, two bedrooms connected to the terraces play with volumes by combining cylindrical concrete posts and storage niches. A bathroom with clever cupboards is adorned with terracotta tiles, a Loire stone effect floor and black Cristina & Ondyna taps for contrast.

A renovation which is part of highlighting the quality of life of residents, craftsmanship and integration into the landscape, as advocated by Fernand Pouillon.
