Completely restructured in 1993, the main house is contiguous to a second building, linked together by small levels. Hidden from the street by a discreet gate, access is via a teak path, with in the foreground the free-form swimming pool, suspended and shaded by a century-old pine tree. Above, an Egyptian stone terrace overhung by its arbor crumbling under a beautiful Virginia creeper typical of the South welcomes happy summer tables. Its point of view is spectacular and unique on the city.
In 2003, the architect Isabelle Millet redesigned the interior spaces. Large, full-height built-in storage gives the whole house the feeling of softness right from the entrance. A first space is then discovered, consisting of a living room and a dining room. Then the generous cathedral living room, clad in blond wood floors and adorned with an antique fireplace, offering a spectacular view of the sea and the islands on the west and east sides. Separated and opening onto the terrace, the kitchen has been completely reworked and dressed in birch wood. A rear utility room completes this level.
A traditional tiled staircase leads to the sleeping area. The master bedroom is through, and also benefits from panoramic views of the city. A large dressing room serves on the mezzanine a large attic bedroom and a bathroom with sea view. On the lower level and in the linked house, two generous bedrooms share a bathroom and both open onto a pretty terrace, under the blessing of Our Lady of the Guard.
