Designed by the American architect Leopold Currot in 1978 and completed in 1982, the house skillfully employs the architectural vocabulary of its era. Upon arrival, the suspended exterior staircase hints at the unique character of the property. Its graphic style, marked by angular lines, sculpted volumes, and interlocking forms, asserts a resolutely modernist identity. The house is revealed through a spectacular entrance and is organized on several split levels, punctuated by expansive aluminum windows that generously capture natural light. The spaces flow seamlessly into one another, each defined by a subtle interplay of levels and perspectives. After a few steps, the living room unfolds beneath a stretch fabric ceiling with a burgundy lacquered effect. It is arranged around a central gyrofocus fireplace, the true centerpiece and beating heart of the house. A mezzanine overlooks this space and houses a comfortable office open to the reception areas. Beyond this, the dining room flows harmoniously into a slightly recessed eat-in kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure a seamless connection between the interior spaces and the garden. Extensive terraces surround a free-form swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and a 30 m2 gazebo perfectly integrated into the landscaped garden. Palm trees, rocks, and a mineral beach create a setting reminiscent of a true resort haven. On one side, the 32 m2 master suite boasts a 14 m2 bathroom with a bathtub and shower. On the other, two bedrooms share a bathroom also equipped with a bathtub and shower. The lower level features an intimate bedroom arranged around its private patio.
