Completely renovated in 2012, the owners have managed to keep all the aesthetics of this house, adapting it to the modern lifestyle. The decision was made to keep the beautiful high ceilings while bringing volume to the ground floor by removing partitions to facilitate the circulation of light. The multiple anthracite aluminum openings have been completely changed, setting the tone of the place.
The entrance is via an 18 m² wooden terrace. From the fence, made up of a low stone wall topped with a solid gate, the sound of the waves at high tide rocks the place. A double entrance door with a 50's look opens onto the living space. The discreet and functional kitchen communicates visually with the living room. A workshop glass roof refines this modern layout to stay in touch with guests or family. The 25 m² living room is decorated with a stone fireplace.
The bedrooms and the office are on the upper floors, and share a bathroom on each level. On the second floor, the cocooning spirit reigns. The exposed gray framework recalling the common thread, the preserved original parquet flooring, and the roof windows contribute to this cozy atmosphere. The small niches in the attic provide additional storage space.
A cellar under the entire surface of the house, with a beautiful high ceiling, is accessible by a stone staircase and includes a wine cellar, laundry room, and technical area.
