Traditional architecture inspired by regional archetypes, this 125 m2 house by BLANC ROUGE ARCHITECTURE, entirely made of wood, is set on 727 m2 of wooded land with a swimming pool, in a quiet street in Pyla and close to the beach.
Designed in 2023, this ecological construction is fully integrated into its natural environment of pines, oaks and arbutus trees. Designed on one level, it is structured into three modules around the different outdoor spaces. Each resident can then enjoy both intimate spaces or share moments of conviviality in the large living room around the fireplace, or in the shade of the pergola. Many architectural elements, such as the oculus or the wooden frame, are representative of the vernacular style. The living space bathed in sunlight reveals the details of the construction and benefits from beautiful openings onto the garden and swimming pool. It is separated from the first two bedrooms and their bathroom by a corridor leading to the next module, housing two other bedrooms and a bathroom. The use of materials such as polished concrete, glass and terracotta, breaking with wood, gives the whole thing a more contemporary touch. It can accommodate up to 8 people and is available all year round, with the possibility of renting the house with two bedrooms.
