DESIGNER

The daughter of a cabinetmaker and sculptor, Alice Damiens grew up surrounded by craftsmanship, wood, and creativity from a very young age. After ten years as an accessories and ready-to-wear designer, she took up sculpture herself in 2020 and created her studio, Romie Objetti. Whether in jewelry or interior design, each object imagined by Alice coexists around a strong and unique identity that quickly caught the eye of brands and galleries such as Chapelle XIV, l’Artisan Parfumeur, and Caroline Andréoni…
In 2025, in the sixth issue of La Revue, this time devoted to wood, ARCHIK featured a report on her work and at the same time invited the young designer to collaborate on the “Ex Libris” project, not only through an exclusive edition, but also through elements of the scenography of the associated exhibition.
Her pair of solid wood bookends, crafted for the “Ex Libris” collection, consists of two shapes that echo each other in a harmonious interplay of mirror and negative, initiating a dialogue between who we are before and after the experience of reading. Her pieces also convey the circularity between the material of books, paper, and the wood that makes up their accessories.
