DESIGNER

Anthony Guerrée is a French designer trained at the École Boulle, whose career reflects a deep attachment to fine craftsmanship and the history of decorative arts. In 2022, one of his chairs was added to the Mobilier National collections. A few months later, he received the “French Design 100” award at the Élysée Palace. He now teaches design at the École Boulle, while collaborating with international publishers and galleries.
In 2023, as director of the Habitat design studio, he curated an exhibition at the Maison ARCHIK in Marseille, showcasing his research into seating.
For the Ex Libris collection, he collaborated with the Italian family-run manufacturer Fornace Brioni to design a piece called PI: a paperweight composed of two interlocking terracotta circles, one in a plain ecru tone similar to travertine, the other made using the traditional variegato technique, which combines different colored clays to create unique marbling effects. A play on the combination of shapes and materials in a palette inspired by Gallimard’s famous Collection Blanche.
