VILLA BAMBI

Conceived and designed by interior designer Margaux Fritz, this cubic house inspired by the design of Koenig and Neutra offers a relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle in an urban version combining seventies elegance and modernity. Porthole, roof overhangs and glass sections punctuate its exterior architecture, while inside, clean lines, rounded shapes, full-height bay windows, and custom-designed furniture define the spaces. The open-plan living room sets the tone with its opus incertum flooring, solid okoume wood and fully glazed walls. The kitchen shelf in varnished okoumé faces the dining area framed by a sanded concrete bench. Opposite, below, the living room with rounded lines is framed by oversized aluminum openings which blur the boundaries between inside and outside. This built-in layout typical of the mid-century aesthetic allows you to create an intimate space and bring your gaze to the level of the landscape surrounding the house. Outside, the garden is planted with palm trees and a long swimming pool. Adjoining the living space, a first bedroom treated as a suite opens widely onto the garden. The mix of concrete, glass and wood, the masonry bed with soft curves, the XXL bathtub in polished concrete and the reissue Gio Ponti faucets mark the room. A sculpted staircase, covered in caramel carpet, leads upstairs. There, two bedrooms, one of which extends by a wooden terrace, offer breathtaking views of Notre-Dame de la Garde. They share a bathroom with a mineral universe. Further on, a studio with its independent entrance offers a space to adapt according to your wishes. Ideal for entertaining, it can also be reinvested to create two additional bedrooms or a beautiful work space. A storage room and a laundry room complete the package. A double box located near the house can be purchased additionally.
