Built in 2021, this architect-designed farmhouse-style house has a wooden structure with exposed Landes pine beams, which are fully visible in the living room, giving it a warm atmosphere. The double-height living room and open-plan fitted kitchen let in plenty of light thanks to large, custom-made aluminum bay windows. A spacious bedroom with its own shower room is accessible on this level, and two other bedrooms with sloping ceilings, upstairs, share a shower room. The house has been designed according to ecological principles, capturing every ray of sunshine with its east, south, and west-facing windows. The pellet stove, located in the center, heats the entire house. The wood flooring, framework, and cladding contrast with the pebble-gray aluminum and glass of the bay windows. The kitchen adds a contemporary touch with its white lacquered cabinetry and black Zimbabwe granite countertops. An adjoining pantry/laundry room opens onto the back of the house and features a small terrace under the trees. The living room opens onto a large wooden terrace, a swimming pool, a pétanque court, and a summer kitchen with a dining area. The property is surrounded by a wooded garden and sheltered by tall hedges planted with local species such as laurels, arbutus trees, pittosporums, and callistemons.
