Facing the square that it animates, the main colored facade is set back, in a frame whose upper part is punctuated by a set of monumental sunshades. The appearance of the facade is thus constantly modified according to the time of day. The side facade reveals the sculptural roof with double inverted slopes that soars towards the square and the Palais des Congrès. Real 'active' elements of the facade, the shutters slide in a frame that comes in excess of the wall, creating relief on the smooth and casting a shadow. Through this sliding game, they leave an imprint on the facade that changes according to their use to filter the rooms they protect. The dressed stone base accentuates the horizontality of the whole, a spectacular window emerges from it like a cantilevered aquarium, while the recessed entrance door creates a porch with unique openings in the form of inverted loopholes. Originally intended for mixed use of commerce and housing on three levels, the layout allows for multiple uses. The hall provides access on the one hand to a garage and storage rooms and on the other hand to the old shop with exceptional volumes and light with its double-height ceiling, its glass wall, its projecting window and its mezzanine. The terrazzo floors soften the brightness. The staircase with its bollard railing leads to the mezzanine then to a bedroom with a water point. The top floor consists of an independent apartment with original parquet flooring composed of a living room, two bedrooms and two large balconies with a lovely view.
