A subtle dialogue between Art Nouveau and Art Deco, the meticulous and sensitive craftsmanship sets the tone from the moment you cross the threshold. Once through the gate, a bucolic garden welcomes you in the foreground, like an enchanted interlude providing an obstacle to the hustle and bustle of the city. Two majestic trees bear witness to the origins of the house: a pine and a cedar of Lebanon. With the guidance of Danielle Austin, a gardener at La Chassagnette and a specialist in edible plants, a rare, original, and delicious plant collection was planted. The garden lives alongside the house: the shadows of the branches dance on the walls as the sun sets, and the glass openings gently invite the light to enter. A capital 'B' discreetly affixed above the front door tells the forgotten story of its first owners, a Belgian family: the Buyssens, whose influences punctuate the place. Inside, each room is designed like a painting. Organized on three levels, the interior is discovered through the large living room, adorned with a frieze evoking a dream garden. The furniture was designed for the place by the first owners. The large wooden bay windows, and especially the bow window, are surprising in a southern house but blend perfectly into the decor. The living room, adorned with a wooden bookcase, is arranged around a painting of a sunset over Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, by Albert Gouget. Everywhere, the details captivate the eye: the bronzes of the fireplace, the beveled mirrors, the woodwork, the rosettes, the parquet floors, the different tiles in each room contribute to the old-fashioned charm of the place. The staircase, whose sconces echo one another all the way to the top, leads to the upper floors, dedicated to the night. First, a first bedroom, then, a majestic landing adorned with mirrors and a bust leads to a romantic suite, wallpapered with stylized flowers, with its blue and white bathroom with retro tiles. A shower room and a vast workshop that can be used as an additional bedroom complete this level. On the second floor, an additional bedroom with its retro bathroom is located. A spiral iron staircase then leads to a roof terrace overlooking the city. Finally, an independent 25 m2 studio consisting of a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom benefits from its private courtyard. An attic, a cellar as well as outdoor parking spaces complete this exceptional property.

An architectural gem for art lovers.
